The Lounger’s compact design combines the stress-relieving benefits of Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) with the soothing effects of thermotherapy, relaxing your pressure points with heat-retaining Terraclay™.
You can use the Lounger as a heated lap pad or cold pad, or use it as a weighted blanket for your lap, back, or chest. Thanks to its gentle, safe heat, the Lounger helps you get cozy for a calmer night’s sleep. It can also be chilled in the freezer and used as a cold pack for muscle recovery.

The Lounger is a weighted lap pad that gets its delightfully heavy weight from tension-melting Terraclay™: an all-natural, biodegradable clay that relaxes pressure points for calming comfort.
Terraclay™ naturally stores heat for extended periods and can even be chilled in the freezer, making our lap pad a safe, sustainable alternative to conventional heating pads and ice packs.
To make our heated lap blanket comforting as can be, we encase our Terraclay™ in huggably soft, upcycled Snugknit (100% GRS-certified polyester) that’s soothing for you and the planet, too.

For soothing warmth, heat the Lounger in the microwave (800-1000 watts) for 60 seconds inside the Terra Tote. To keep your warmable safe and snuggly, do not heat without the Terra Tote. If your Lounger is not as warm as you’d like, you can reheat it in 30 second intervals. For even heat distribution, rotate the Terra Tote 180º between each reheat and check if any part’s temperature is too high. After heating, the warmth will last up to 1 hour.
For cooling calm, we recommend chilling the Lounger in the freezer for one hour or more inside the Terra Tote.

This travel lounger is very comforting during plane rides and to sleep with for winter travel.
I have not tried to heat or cool it, so I can't say anything about that.
Be sure to get it out of your bag for TSA airport scan.
It is a luxury to carry in a backpack, as it is heavy. It would be better to carry it in a rolling suitcase.
